I just thought i'd make a post in relation to Jason's CV8 Monaro. I'll be the first to admit that when it came around the corner, all i saw was a sparkly VY 'SS'. As my mind rolled over at speeds quicker than a bolt of lightning, i realised that this 'SS' was actually had 2 doors. What?! That can't be. A third look both eased and excited my mind, as i realised it was actually a Flame Orange CV8 Monaro.
Immediately i walked up for further inspection, revealing that this particular Monaro had been treated to a VY front end, including Front Bar, Guards and bonnet. The gold sparkles that oozed over the original paintwork were a real treat to the eye, as was the dismissal of washer jets from the bonnet, Magenta stripe around the main line of the bodywork, and clear Monaro tail-lights.
Owning a Monaro myself, it was a real mind boggling experience. Whilst it is'nt a 'Commodore', it really is a car that deserves the attention it attracts. Inside, there are many more 'bits and pieces' to stimulate the mind, but i would strongly recommend buying a copy of STREET MONARO'S and checking this machine out for yourself!
