Hey all im new here but i thought i would share my new project...
i just got this VK Director of a mate...
Im going to fix it up and im puting in a mild 308 with a turbo 350 box with shift kit and a full spool diff......

looks like a tidy unit to start with, shouldn't take too much to get her up to speed :) nice car buddy :) Spray the joiners on the cage there, they got a bit of rust on em ;) hehe

yeah im gonna take the cage out and get it polished chrome...and the drop tank i have for it as well....

dude i love vk's and espically the directors gotta love all the extras espically the dials if you still got it.
May i ask what is that big bar in the midle seat that goes all the way to the front.

its just a spare parcle shelf dude nothing major....it came with heaps of spares and i had no where to put em for now....
yeah the digital dash is there and working dude....

yeah im not going to wild on it just make it nice and restore it a bit...aqnd a fresh coat of silver on it...and if i get a 13 out of it ill be happy......

Looks neat man, love the VK Directors. I think they are better than the group A or group 3 just for that fact when they came off the showroom floor you could option them up with just about anything, at the time the Director with the works was the dearest Australian family car ever. (if I remember correctly?)

yeah ill post some side shots up soon...it has original polished brock wheels on it and is lowerd about 2-3inch all around...i have new pedders sports rider shocks to go all around and king max springs as well......a 120L drop tank and few other bits and peaces....but i dont think ill be able to paint it till after xmax so it will stay as is on the outside for now......

You wouldn't be a mate of Jason (senator=215) by any chance? He posted a few pics of a similar car a while ago & I remember it well as it stood out - like this one!

well im still waiting on the mechanic to start work on it damnit....but im getting some new alloy rocker covers for it and looking for a B&M shifter as well....wont be painted till after xmas now though...but so far nothing new to report...

Did you end up speaking with hdt and getting the build tags remade? whats the build No. on it?

hmmm. wow a other one pops up mate nice car there you said you had spare parts
my mate has one with a lighty worked 308 droped on its arse with 18 or 19
big exhaust (4m) he just needs a rear plastic garnish with the director writen on it
very nice mate i think u should ditch the rollcage unless u are going 383 and nos with blower hehe but thats one nice car u will have to bring it out on the dyno day on sunday my mate said he was going to bring his director as well
and where are u getting the drop tank my m8 wants one bad

I saw it a few months ago - still a work in progress. He's fairly local to us Chris.
