Charity Cruise 3: Canberran's READ!

Time is ticking so i thought i better post this up

This is for all the Canberra/ACT Region commodore owners that will be heading up to Homebush for the cruise

Meet will be at Shell Service Station At Exhibition Park at 5am for a 530/6am depart. Anyone not there by then will need to catch up on the highway (just look out of the commy's)

There are a couple of local car clubs that are oragnising the trip up, i dont think im allowed to post website adresess up tho, so just PM or email me and we should be able to work something out

So who's keen on that idea?

Sounds like a good idea you have there mate :) :) :) , Tho I'm still thinking and looking into going up the day/night before and getting a motel or something for the night. I dont know how many other drive's that would be intersted in doing the same.

A good night sleep and getting there nice and early to the meeting place before a very long day of driving. The idea of a 4.30 wake up call is a bit on the mean side to at the moment. :eek: lol

im not sure whether im leaving from canberra or goulburn, there will be probably about 10 or so cars leaving from goulburn that will meet up with the canberrans on the way thru

I'll be there if I can get my gearbox in and my car past a rego insp. Anyone able to help me out? My box will arive tomorrow morning the 25th from melb. I work evenings/nights, so i can only work on my car during the day. I got all the tools and a garage, just need a trolley jack and some muscles to assist getting it in, as i have a stuffed neck...:rolleyes:

I can pay in beer/bourbon/stereo installs or VN/VP parts etc...:hsdance:

Also, whats happening exactly with the cruise? i know we kick off at 10 from homebush, but where to from there and for how long we drivin?

5:00 Meet at EPIC
5:30 Depart Canberra
6:30-7 Stop at Goulburn Maccas - eat breaky, take pics! meet with goulburnites?
7:30~ Depart Goulburn
9:30-10 Sydney

if you lose the group when we hit sydney traffic, just go straight until you see the turn off for the sydney olympic park

Chris, Marulan is the next servo about 20 min after goulburn. We should stop at Sutton Forrest Maccas, about 15-20min past Marulan. There is a big shell truck stop there too, probably more room for all the cars.... It would be better to stop there for all the goulburn ppl who dont want to double back, by going "Back" to their maccas. Plus a better chance of being served by lunch time there too, cos they have a WAY bigger maccas:D

Should say too, ppl with hand held CB's, check batteries and bring them...

i guess the goulburn ppl can meet up at their maccas, then meet us at sutton forrest. We will probably be near mittagong around 8am. If anyone wants to know where we are at any given time, we will be on chanel 15 on the CB, or my mobile is 0410 129 429.

Great day. Bad luck to Adzzaman after losing top two gears in his recently refreshed auto, causing a turn around at Sutton Forest. What should have been a 23km,20min drive from Olympic Park to the Drive in ended up taking close to two hours after following a Sydney sider in the know via Hume Highway, Campbelltown, Bringelly and Back down the M4 lol.

indeed was a great day, awesome cruise on the way to sydney, good to see ACT dedication!! im glad i wasnt the only one dragging my ass outa bed at 4 in the morning after less than 4 hours sleep :S

i know some guys went without sleep!!! crazy..

i got a whole bunch of pics on the main SR website, www.streetrides.org.au if you want pics of your cars. i tried my best to get every canberra/goulburn car that was with us, looked awesome watching a convoy of about 30-40 local commys on the highway at sunrise!!
