Over the last couple of days i've noticed that when on the SC forums my computer runs really slow. Any other website of forum is fine and runs quite well. Anyone had the same problem or have any ideas why it is happening to me?

yeah I have been finding this as well. I am getting dial up flash backs :D
When I run SC on firefox instead of IE7 it is quicker but still leaves a blank page.
On both browsers it loads the page (little circles go round) then posts a blank page, the reloads and brings up the page in full.

It only happens with this site and has only done this for a couple of weeks at best, this time :)

We're having slow internet probs at work, and SC grinds to a stop if I have more than 3 tabs open in firefox.
At home it's fine (almost instant - even with like 20 tabs opened up one after another).
I like to blame it on all the new ads. All this extra bandwidth consumption for the additional crap loading up.

Yeah same here. As soon as I open an extra tab it slows dramatically and if I open too many it runs so slow it takes a good 30secs-1minute to scroll down. But other sites/forums are fine, I open upto 10 plus and still fine.

My scroll wheel has stopped working whenever i have an SC page open, i have to manually scroll, also the tabs wont switch, only close, i think its a flash related problem, so its the ads causing the issue

You can turn off the adds, go to 'Tools', then 'Manage Add-Ons', then 'Enable or Disable Add-Ons' scroll down and disable 'Shockwave Flash Object', just don't forget to re enabe it, will affect 'YouTube' so don't forget that you have done it.
