SLY60L LS2 Powered VX SS (SMASHED)
Hey guys, i bought my VX about 2 months ago from my boss for a great price which left me open to do a few mods straight away, but with 215K on the speedo and knowing i wanted to get lots of power i started looking around for an L98 to sit between the struts. i ended up finding an LS2 which already had the right reluctor to go with it so not long later it was on its way up from Victoria...
I dont get my full license until 11th of January so until then its kinda just sitting around and getting the occasional visit to WSID... I took it not long after i bought it but being my first manual car my best run was 15.4 lol, so soon ill be heading back out there hopefully to run a high 12 when the new motor is run in
Hope you guys enjoy and ill have some better pics up soon including the motor

Interior: Black Leather, Satin chrome door handles
Other Mods: Sunroof, Tinted Windows, and tail light tints coming in a few days

Not really, CV performance did the swap for me but basically you need a 24 wheel reluctor for the crank, a few different wiring looms and you need to change the throttle body to a cable one (they used my old manifold and throttle body as the manifold on the LS2 is a 4 bolt system where its only 3 on the LS1)
But for the money it cost me, im so happy i did it and id do it again for sure... When i can drive it in January ill be selling my VT and puttin the cash into this

Ye mate, you need to change some things for the conversion to work though but as far as i know they are the same box...
New pics are up of the whole car, i put the tail light tint on 2 days ago and 1 started to peel off so i decided to take em off, does anyone know where i can buy some spray tint?

I almost bought a monaro bonnet last night on ebay, if i were to get one would the clearance be the same where the flutes are, how far back are they?
Anyone else who has a monaro bonnet and OTR intake could you please tell me how good they fit together and what kind of OTR intake you have

Ye i havnt really tried to look to hard for spray tint yet, i might try an autobahn if i can find one but i know theres a supercheap on the way to my work so ill try there one day on the way home.
I know the bonnet fits the same as monaro's, but i had heard that monaro bonnets have a little less clearance compared to the normal ones, and my OTR intake already just touches my bonnet...
Anyways i got my full license today, so i can finally drive the beast and it feels so good...
I also had the guards rolled and i have a set of stockies sitting on the back ready for the drags either this wednesday or in a few weeks time...
The motor is finally run in aswell (its only taken me about 2 months to do 600km lol) so on wednesday it will be going in for a service and a checkover and im getting a new catback exhaust too as the old one is a little rusted and dinged up and the baffle inside the muffler is broken and rattles...
When i get my timeslip ill post it up for you guys with some more pics and some pics of the run or hopefully a vid...

Yep, i was pretty impressed... I was wanting to put a cam in next but im going to try for 300kW now before i open the motor... Hopefully i can do so with a UDP kit and new diff gears and a better throttle body and manifold as it only runs the std LS1 manifold and throttle body...

Yep i like the mags, but i would rather them in 20's... The 20 inch Prowlers or Incubus are one of my options on my list of 20's id like to get... I used to have something similar on my VT but they just scrubbed to much and i didnt have money to spend on suspension so i sold em, worse mistake i ever made coz they looked so good

Other options are VE GTS, Apec Delexi not really keen on chromies but it would make it stand out for sure) or if i had the money some simmons FR19's

Nice combo!
I'd stay away from the style of wheel you have, and the ones on the VT. It's dating very quickly, and the style is becoming way too common.
Have to keep an eye out, recognise those netball courts

Ye, i have seen plenty of them around but i just like the look of the wheels, as long as it looks good i dont mind how many other people have the same wheels...
Wat is your number plate, i dont see many R32's around my area but theres heaps of R33's

Well i smashed the SS on friday night, gave it a little to much throttle and broke traction and lost it... For now its sitting in my garage with most of the front end stripped off and engine to come out soon... Its going to be out of action for a while but for the time being i have bought a VR commo off Damo Batancs (Tanka5.7)
Its got a pod filter and exhaust so i think its got about 300 killerwatts at the wheels :s
Ill put some pics up soon, im not in the mood to do it just now

Ye mate, im pretty devoed... Im going to try to fix most of it myself and just pay someone to fix the frame and bend the chassis rail back so it will be a few months before its back on the road...
And i got a car to drive around in the mean time now so im going to do everything properly and not worry about how long it takes...
